Recently I decided to clean out and organize all of my clothing drawers. When my husband came in and saw the pile of lace, satin and silk on the floor he said, “We should put those to more use.” I do not think these images were what he had in mind. 😉 But a light bulb definitely went off in my creative mind.
Everyone has there own idea of what SEXY is. Lingerie is usually used to entice and stimulate the desires of both men and women. Or some people wear these delicate little gems just to feel “pretty”. As an artist, I just see patterns, textures, shadows and lines. So I assembled them into interesting positions and photographed them. I added some filter work to give them a “vintage” feel.
As I said yesterday, ugly things can be made pretty. And pretty things can be made even more beautiful….
hi sharon. I noticed you use fine art america. I have heard some great things about FAA. Has that been a good place for you to sell your art?
I tell everyone the SAME thing….No site sells your art for you. Only YOU can sell your art. So pick whatever venue looks best to you and then be prepared to MARKET the hell out of yourself! I spend about 4 – 5 hours a day marketing (social media/blogging/etc.). It’s a real time investment. It has paid off for me though. I sell well on FAA because I send traffic there ALL day long. 🙂 I used to rarely sell on Society 6 until I started sending traffic there…now I sell there well too.
excellent, thanks for the feedback Sharon, and I totally understand what you mean by marketing. You have to work it, I have met a lot of people who simply put their photos or art up on Facebook or on a blog or on a Web site and then expect the world to beat a path to their door, it does not quite work that way does it? Thanks again, Rob
You are welcome Rob!
