I sell a lot of artwork.  These days my print making partners do most of the shipping and customer service for me.  However, I do still paint a significant amount of commission work and originals.  One of the joys I get as an artist is actually “seeing” my work hanging in someone’s home or office.  Not many send me photos, but when they do, I am always taken aback.  Why?  I rarely see my work displayed.  It gets painted on my paint splattered old table and then hung on messy walls until it is fully cured and ready to ship.  I am a creator, so that is what I do.  My collectors are the decorators and as such it is through their camera lens that I get to see my work as they see it for the first time.  It’s kinda cool and strange all at once.  Right there is a piece of my soul hanging in the home of someone I’ve never met.  But I can see it….yes I can.

This arrived in my Etsy inbox this morning.  I did not do anything to their photo other than save it to my computer and upload it here.  So if you’ve ever wondered.  Yes, my colors are that vibrant in real life. 🙂
