Just making a little noise today with my new series “Color Fusion”. I do not have a lot of experience with trumpets. My memories involved high school football games and lots of ringing ears. The rooster piece is a tribute to my childhood buddy named “spur”. I say that with sarcasm, because not only was he a noisy little beast at 5 in the morning, he also liked to chase us and get us with his sharp talons. These guys look cute, but don’t be fooled…

Both pieces are beautiful, but I especially love the rooster. Our neighbors got some chicks a couple of years ago. One day I heard this terrible sound. I looked around and realized it was coming from their chicken coop that shared the fence that separates our properties. I went over and checked it out and one of the chicks was growing up to be a young rooster, and the terrible sound was him trying to crow. He had the most pathetic crow for months — I was happy when he finally got his voice.
Ha ha…yes they are much like adolescent boys with the croaking and cracking until their voice matures….We had chickens that were very sweet….pets really. Egg layers. 🙂

You’re welcome ☺
I’ve heard roosters can be nasty creatures. I like what you do with color, Sharon – very vibrant.
Thanks so much Kate! Yes, they can…but the chickens were always sweet. 🙂
