Florida has skunks. I have never seen one, but I know they exist here. My childhood memories have some strong evidence to support my claim! I can remember quite vividly the 3 separate occasions that our dogs “Tager” and “Busch” came home covered in the not so delightful aroma of skunk. Yes, my Dad named one after the beer. Anyway, they knew they smelled bad when they would wander back up to the house after a day of “hunting”. No amount of bathing would get rid of the stink. It took weeks to finally wear off. They only had each other during that time as no one else wanted anything to do with them. But today you can enjoy a nice safe distance from this colorful little critter!

Very nice Sharon!
Thank you Collin!
Hey Sharon, love the art! Only you could pull off a work about a skunk!
BTW there is a formula to remove the smell very quickly – you don’t have to wait two weeks. It includes Hydrogen Peroxide, Baking Soda and Dish Soap. Should you ever need the exact recipe – a quick Google will suffice.
Stay Fresh!
PS – Our neighbor had to use this formula on his dog 5 times this summer. Poor old thing, I don’t think he can smell all that well.
Ha ha…Alas there was no Google 35+ years ago. 😉 Our dogs now live inside…..It’s better for all of us! Thanks for stopping by Douglas…Have a great non-stinky day!
He’s a cute little stinker.
Thank you Timothy!
You really WERE working on a skunk!

Lovely colors for a little stinker, great work Sharon!
Thank you Indah!
I too, have used the holy trinity of de-skunk on my dogs. More times than I can count. We have plenty of the critters around. Love the image and here’s a tidbit to share about skunks that makes me love them: they eat ground wasps. At night they prowl around for yellow jackets (which are very nasty in my part of the country), dig up the nests and eat them all up. Good skunkies!!
I figured they had a beneficial purpose for the ecosystem. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and giving the tidbit!

This Really S.T.I.N.K.S.!
I have not personally run into a skunk, until now, but I have smelled them and it is awful. This abstract art however is beautiful 🙂
ha ha…Let’s hope you never do in person!
