I see a lab/pit mix 🙂
Thanks Marla….I see a Jack Russell mix. Will be curious what others see. 🙂
My husband said jack Russell too!
That was my first thought too….but her vet said some blue heeler. this is fun!
I definitely see a little pit – and a lot of happy dog!
Most mixes have a little pit it seems. 😉 And this one is definitely one HAPPY dog! We have a yellow lab/pit mix. We were told she is full-blooded lab, but she looks more pit than lab and has totally different fur than our full yellow lab. She is also super happy. 🙂
Choppy is one of the few who doesn’t look very pit-like – her eyebrows definitely suggest rottie or Doberman!
What a cute name! Love Choppy.
Thanks! It suits her (or at least, she doesn’t seem to have any issue with it).
Looks like ours and he is, we think, a mix of Terrier and Jack Russell.
Maybe there’s bit of Staffordshire Bull Terrier!
Sometimes it’s hard to know!
Hard to tell unless I knew the size? Something about the set of the ears and the eyes says boxer/lab to me – but Staffordshire sounds right as well. Maybe some pit, but only from the ear set. The rest of the face looks very “lab-ish” 😉 For a small dog, I would have to agree – some form of heeler/terrier maybe! Fun!
Yes it is hard to tell! It had sort of rottie colors.
Well, it is a beautiful piece no matter what. As always, I am trilled every day to open your posts and see what other beautiful piece of art you have created!
Thank you so very much! I am working on a Hippo. 🙂
Coool! I have a fascination with rhinos— so ancient looking!
Oh yeah! I’ve done 3 rhinos…I think. I’ve been at this for over 11 years…sometimes I forget! LOL
I will have to check your site!
Please do!
Reblogged this on Amazing Fine Art.
I see a little bit and a little jack russell. And a lot of a happy boy! 😀
I love to see happy rescues#
Me too :))))
This cutie looks a bit like my dog, part Labrador and other parts unknown. I have mine was part rat terrier as she has a bit of that pit look but is smaller, energetic and has a good nose for shrews.
Our pit lab girl is an expert squirrel catcher! It’s all good until she drags one in through the doggie door beheaded. 😦
Love this! Do you do pet portraits to order so to speak?! Where are you based- Melbourne? I’d be interested!
Hi Charlotte! Thank you so much for your interest in custom pet portraits. I am currently accepting commissions. I work from photos that you provide. I charge a 65.00 creative fee to do the work.
