I’ve been super busy this Summer! I am especially excited to be working on a huge commission for the Neri family.
Each canvas is HUGE! 36×72 for a finished size of 72×108!
The Annex Studio is too hot this time of year, so the Hubby generously relinquished his office for this project. 🙂
This is the splashy wet fun part! Spray bottle in hand, everything gets wet!
The first drop of color…
Patterns are starting to form….More spraying!
I love where it’s going! (The scissors are a shim to control the flow.)
Oh yeah!
More splashing and spraying! Who is going to clean up the mess?
.
It’s not finished yet, but it will be soon. I will update a picture of the final painting once it is complete and cured.
It’s beautiful, Sharon! I love the colors. Were you able to do whatever you wanted for the comission or did they request the colors and design?
Thank you so much! I love it too! The colors and design where only chosen as an inspiration (from my Love and Approval piece)….But I was given full creative license. 🙂
That’s really awesome, Sharon! I’m happy for you. 🙂
Thank you!
What fun!!! And your dress has almost as much color on it! Can hardly wait to see the completed painting!! Thanks for sharing!
And thank you Jean! Mr. Neri has already given his stamp of approval. 🙂
Wowsa, amazeballs! Congrats – looks great. Jackson Pollock has NOTHING on you, lol!
Thank you so much Cindy! Pollock is one of my favorites!
Sharon just emailed me the pictures. Caroline and I love the way this beautiful art is coming together…….we are looking forward to showcase it in our wonderful vineyard here in California!
Antonio & Caroline Neri
Thank you so much Antonio and Caroline! I look forward to seeing it in it’s fabulous new home!
Thank you for this fascinating peak into how you work! There’s something about doing large things that gives a special kind of joy. Lovely!
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!
Oh I love this! It’s wonderful to have a glimpse into your creative process!
Thanks Jewels! I am generally pretty private about my process. But the collector wanted to see the WIP, so I obliged. 🙂
Beautiful Sharon! So cool to see a work in progress! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Terry!
So happy for this challenge to create one of you stunning artworks! Looking forward to the final view!
Thanks Lidia! It still has to cure for a few weeks…Hopefully the weather will cooperate before I have to ship. It’s been raining every single day!
Wow, what a fun project it must be 🙂 I love to see an artist at work – thanks for sharing Sharon – and best wishes for your project!
Thanks Indah!
So this is how colour and form ‘magically’ come together to make art?! It amazes me how you maintain a sense of perspective when you are on your knees and dwarfed by the huge flat canvases… I suspect this is where the ‘artist’ part of you separates you the rest of us ordinary folk?! Thank you for sharing the process, it only enhances my respect for the end product, and you as an artist!
It’s magic to me too! I imagine non-artists view what I do similarly to how I view mathematicians….As if some unknown force leads them. 😉 My pleasure to share!
Reblogged this on OODOO.
Wow that’s amazing very talented and beautiful keep up the good work
Thank you so much!
