Here is my haul of fossils that I’ve collected walking up and down the beach for the past 4 months! I also have a glass jar that holds about 3000 shark’s teeth! Below you will find: prehistoric shark’s vertebrae, a camel ankle bone, whale ear bone, turtle shell fossils, three toed horse teeth, shark’s teeth of many kinds, puffer fish mouth plates, stingray barbs, shells and misc. bones. I find these glimpses into the past absolutely fascinating!
A few years ago I had a collector ask me to make a painting for him including some of his fossilized dinosaur bones. It’s got me thinking about what to do with mine…

Love the idea Sharon, I also have thousands of sharks teeth, collected from the coast in the south of England, can’t wait to see what you come up with 😀
Very cool they wash up there too! I just love hunting for them. 🙂
Yes, they are hidden in the clay cliffs, then the tide hits the clay and washes them out, better than digging for them. Best to find on the shore line, where they roll in a different way to rocks and stones, and the black colour shines when wet, making an easy find….check out Barton beds in the uk, my local beach, it couldn’t be better. We have the new forest, and an amazing productive beach ….bliss 😀
