The beach has been heavenly in Florida for the past few weeks. The weather has been perfect…slightly cool and sunny. I’ve spent many hours walking up and down Caspersen in Venice, FL. It is always intriguing how certain things wash up in clusters that do not wash up at other times at all. Somedays it is starfish. Others it might be crab bits. Or these beautiful iridescent fan clams that form hearts when open.
Scientifically they are called Pinnidae and are a taxonomic family of large saltwater clams sometimes known as pen shells. They are marine bivalve molluscs in the order Pterioida.
I just think they are “love”ly…

Some #beach love! by Sharon Cummings
I do like the joy of life that speaks out of your work, be it paintings of photography. Bravo for this. 🙂
Thank you so much! I really do have a joy in creating my work!

This is going as my phone wallpaper now 🙂
Hi Nitin…I am so delighted that you love my work so much! And that you want to view it on your phone. Please know that an artist likes to hear “I’ve purchased your work.” and not “I am just going to use it for free.” Many artists like myself work 60 – 80 weeks trying to earn a living with our art. We create, list, market, answer emails and phone calls, package, buy supplies and the list goes on. It’s one of the hardest jobs on the planet and all we want is for our fans to “buy” our work. That’s it. So thank you again and please ponder this…
Sure. I totally understand that. Considering the fact that I engage in little writing myself, I know how much effort a creative endeavor requires. And this pic is fabulous. I didn’t know that this is a listed work. Rest assured, I will not use the pic unless I buy it. And the first pic I’ll buy will be this one-coz this is really good work. 🙂
Thank you Nitin!
