White tigers are beautiful. The white tiger is a rare pigmentation variant of the Bengal tiger. This creature is a mutant. The human race often finds animal mutations and defects desirable, yet in our own species we do not. We are a drawn to oddities and differentiation in nature, yet shun people who do not share the same genetic make ups as we do. Something to ponder….
In all mammals, I am most drawn to their eyes. As in humans, they tell a story. I had the opportunity to observe and photograph white tigers at Busch Gardens years back. When I create animal art, I like to use a variety of images and then digitally paint new patterns and colors. I am creating art and not just a copy of what is found in nature.
My “Hungry Eyes” has been one of my most popular and best selling prints to date. I will be curious to see if the mutant will exceed this one. If human nature is any indication, it certainly will. 😉
