With Christmas rapidly approaching, I am knee deep in commission work and order fulfillment of art prints! But 2016 has been calling to me with an urge to create new pieces. I’ve been super busy this Summer! I am especially excited to be working on a huge commission for the Neri family.
Each canvas is HUGE! 36×72 for a finished size of 72×108!
The Annex Studio is too hot this time of year, so the Hubby generously relinquished his office for this project. 🙂
This is the splashy wet fun part! Spray bottle in hand, everything gets wet!
The first drop of color…
Patterns are starting to form….More spraying!
I love where it’s going! (The scissors are a shim to control the flow.)
Oh yeah!
More splashing and spraying! Who is going to clean up the mess?

This work offers a much different color palette than my collectors and fans are accustomed to. Most of my work incorporates blues, aquas and reds. With Spring just around the corner, I wanted to capture a fresh feeling in this art painting. Warmth in the yellows and reds for the sun and greens for all of the new growth and life. There is a flow in the paint that lifts the soul upwards and a lightness in spirit is left. I hope you enjoy this abstract titled “Lightness of Being. You can learn more here:

Just making a little noise today with my new series “Color Fusion”. I do not have a lot of experience with trumpets. My memories involved high school football games and lots of ringing ears. The rooster piece is a tribute to my childhood buddy named “spur”. I say that with sarcasm, because not only was he a noisy little beast at 5 in the morning, he also liked to chase us and get us with his sharp talons. These guys look cute, but don’t be fooled…
