This is a photograph of a very old anchor. So many stories in this piece just thinking of all of the exotic places it might have been. Now it rests on dry land as a piece of “art”. I found it in Sarasota, Florida on a morning walk along the bay. It made me think of my childhood learning how to sail with my Uncle Tom. I never fully got the hang of it, but it sure was fun to be out in the ocean with the wind pulling us along. He did all of the work as us kids “helped”. I can still feel that wind and smell that salty air today….
