We are ALL connected online through Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.  But how do you connect to yourself?  Sometimes I feel like we are so involved in other people’s lives online that we forget that we have one of our own in the real world.  We wake up one morning with aches and pains and wonder where they came from.  We look in the mirror and wonder who is this person I see in the reflection?  We stop spending time alone.  We constantly borrow the thoughts of others until we forget to have any of our own.  Today I am reminding myself to get away from the black box for awhile.  To get with Nature and my own mind.  I am going to “check in” with me to see what I am up to……

For over 18 years now I have had the great blessing to learn the lessons that only chronic vertigo can teach.  Specifically mine are migraine associated vertigo or MAV.  Actual headaches are rare at only one or two per month and they are controlled well holistically.  But the vertigo is insidious and comes and goes.  Mostly it comes with weather fronts and hormonal changes, but can show up at any time.  One of the things I have learned is that keeping my life as balanced and centered as possible is critical.  When I get the false sensations I know it is a good time to do some Yoga poses and reflect on where there is imbalance.  Once I hone in on it I can make adjustments to get me back to a place of peace.  Often it is overwork that causes me to slow down and tweak my daily routines.  I find the simple poses like the lotus work best for me to calm down my spirit and help me to get centered again.

Today’s offering from my “Transforming Energy” series reflects this sense of peace I gain during Yoga.

Enjoy!

Do you ever wonder if you are on the “right path” in life.  Is something missing?  Look at the list below and see if you can answer “often” to ALL of them.

1.  I do things I love.

2.  I get excited every morning when I get out of bed.

3.  I feel accomplished when I fall asleep.

4.  I have fun.

5. Things just seem to work out well for me.

6. I feel on top of my game.

7. I get so involved in projects that I lose track of time.

8. I have great ideas.

9. I use my imagination.

10. I feel overwhelmed with gratitude.

I have “often” felt all of the above on a daily basis, but haven’t lately and I find it is time to reevaluate what I am doing with my career, family and health.  What I like to do when I get off track is sit down and write out a list with two columns.  In the first column I write out all of the things I am currently doing that are not fulfilling, frustrating or unhealthy.  In the second column, I write out everything I am doing that is fun, rewarding and healthy. If the left column is considerably longer than the right, I just make a decision to do more on the right side.  It becomes my PRIORITY!  I scratch off things on the left that are not necessary and add a few to the good side (things I would like to do).  This gets me back on my game every time…..

Are you on the right path?
