I create art daily, but I also play with goats. đ I have 3 Nigerian Dwarfs and they entertain me every single day with their antics and sweet cuddles. Keeps me sane….This is Chino Bandino….Hope he makes you smile with his gorgeous whiskers!

This is my little buddy Noaa….Yes, it’s spelled like the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration…He was born during one of the worst storms of the season 2 years ago….It seemed fitting. Love my goats!

I’ve got three goats here on my homestead…Prissy…Chino and Noaa (born in a severe tropical storm). There really are no other animals like them. So funny. Little clowns. And yet very affectionate. My favorite barnyard animals by far!

Has someone gotten your goat lately? Â Where does that saying come from anyway?
Phrase Finder believes that the saying is an American term dating back to the 1900’s and sticks by the âcommonly repeated story which purports to explain the phraseâs origin is that goats were placed with racehorses to keep them calm. When neâer-do-wells who wanted the horse to race badly removed it, i.e. they âgot someoneâs goatâ, the horse became unsettled and ran badly.â
Ye Olde English Sayings theorizes that the origins of âgetting your goatâ is reference to âan old English belief that putting a goat in the barn would have a calming effect on the cows, hence producing more milk. When one wanted to antagonize/terrorize oneâs enemy, you would abscond with their goat rendering their milk cows less- to non-productive.â
Either way, the common belief is âgoats are the great calmers of nature.â
I just think they are cute. đ

I am always trying to think of new subject matter to Stone Rock….one of my signature art styles. Â Lately I have been taking a second look at images and paintings that I have had up for a long time that have not received much attention. Â And it is working. Â I have sold pieces Stone Rock’d that never sold without it. Â My latest transformation is here. Â I have taken “Pinky” below and added my trademarked Stone Rock’d pattern for an interesting and “Pop Art” effect. Â I had a pet goat as a child named Lulu Bell….she would be proud. đ
