I just cannot stop the creative process. Years ago, I was always a little sad when I finished a painting, sold it and sent it off to it’s new home. It meant that it was over. My baby had grown up and moved away. But with today’s digital technology, I can keep creating long after the initial painting is finished. My work lives on in other forms. How cool is that!

I can scan gigantic files of my work and crop out abstracts like this:

Or I can combine the crops and create mirror image work like this one:

It’s all so magical to me. 🙂 And I will not stop!

ImageThe weather in Florida is really lovely right now.  It is not too hot yet.  I have been working really hard on commissioned paintings for the last two weeks and have been taking some much needed time off.  A nice stroll by some water…getting in touch with nature…..taking photographs with my husband. This is what a day off looks like for me captured in the art above titled “Summer Stroll In The Park”.  I absolutely love what I do when I am creating for myself or for a collector.  Art is my passion!  But even I need to take breaks now and again. 🙂

Wolves are fascinating creatures. Hollywood has portrayed them as aggressive malicious animals that attack humans for no reason, when in fact they are quite shy. They will attack if threatened of course as anyone would, but they prefer to live peacefully in their territory. These beautiful creatures form family units and live and hunt as such. Each pack has an Alpha male and an Alpha female which protects and cares for the rest of their group which can be from 4 – 7 wolves. Everyone shares in the responsibility of pup rearing. Mating happens once a year and only the Alpha female gets this privilege. Wolves are quite large and can get to 200 pounds. They use their fur and howl to communicate with others. Sadly their population is declining mainly due to habitat loss. In my art I try to convey the beauty and majesty of these wonderful animals.
