I’ve always thought our flag was so beautiful…The bold colors, the stars and stripes. So unique from an artistic standpoint. I’ve given it a modern twist!

We are not at our best these days, but I still love being an American. I don’t see so much of the hatred, anger and nastiness in my own community and surrounding area. I am interrupting my normal colorful whimsical art to celebrate the life of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. A fierce woman who served our country for decades with dedication and dignity. And the beauty of life is that you can choose to respect someone even if you do not always agree with them. Her close friendship with former Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia bears witness to this fact. We can learn a lot from the two of them… Rest in peace Ruth.
