New Art – Mixed Media Typography
A Mother’s Love

This has never been more true than it is for me now. As my daughter explores the world on her own, living away from the nest, I find my heart lurking in the shadows. It is amazing how much more a text means! Or when she “stops by”. 🙂 Here’s to all of the moms whose babies have spread their wings!

My mother could attest to that – lol!
She has little of her heart left with so many kids! (If I am remembering correctly.)
7 to be exact – lol!
Amen! Mine is living in another state, over two hours away. I love love love this piece, and I totally feel ya, mom. Those texts mean everything.
Yes they do!
Sharon, I have another question for you: what media did you use to create this piece?
It’s mixed media…..painting….scanning….symbols…typography….layering…..texturizing.
Well, it’s beautiful. Any books you can recommend on the process?
Thank you! Since it’s my own process and I have not written any books….not at this time. 😉
Same apply for fathers and at times your name goes with them too…
I am sure it is true! And I’d image especially hard for Daddy’s to let their little girls go…
Awesome!! Brilliant idea to have the painting and quote as one – perfect for wall decoration!
🙂
